Mercury Rising

Down beach this am for a few images of Jupiter and Mercury, and to locate comet R1, which I finally snaggled in my scope!! Woohoo!!
Mercury is the bright dot left of the plam.
Was a gorgeous am, though clouds were drifting in, and was totally cloudy by 6am.
See the red wriggly line along water edge in the last pic? Was a little dog running along with his owner, but he had a red light around his neck.

They look great Liz. Could you see the comet in the full size image?

I really like the last one. The lights just seem to make it.

Thanks Carl and Paul.
No Paul - i had a look, magnified the area etc, but no go. Have put the pic in comet section too, and Rob may be able to identify it.

Well done Liz,

Around dawn is the best part of day, love the colour and what a great effect was the red light on the dog, most excellent.

I know I have said it previously but any astro image with a Palm tree in it and the ocean is a winner for me.

Regards
Trevor

Thanks trevor, the dog issue was very cute indeed, and yes, palm trees are a bonus to a pic.

Thanks Warren.
It did look so cute at the time, and was hoping the image would be OK.

Great dog trail Liz! Looks like a nice morning up there.

We had a double pass of Atlantis and the ISS this morning, but of course there was 100% cloud cover...

Cheers,
Stephen
