Western Veil and M8 region

Rising late in the north but one of my list of challenges this winter - the Veil. Here is an attempt to pick up the Western Veil plus the extensions below it. They were too faint so this is a crop of just the main portion. No flats in this yet and I had to push it more than I would have liked but here it is anyway.

Also, an attempt to get a bit of context around M8.

Peter.

I take it you'll be adding more data to the Veil? Processing is so much more fun when you've got gobs of data to work with.
And yep, I've got to agree with Trevor, you've stretched M8 just a tad too far.
Wasn't it great outside last night. I packed it in at 5.30am.

Thanks for commenting Trevor and Jeanette. Yes, M8 looks a tad overdone!! Amazing how good stuff looks at 4 a.m. and how lousy the same thing looks a few hours later.

The Veil is 2 1/2 hours of data in 15 x 10 min subs with the QHY8 on an ED127; so while extra data is always good, this is one faint little remnant. I think I'll wait 'til it's rising a bit earlier and have another run at it in a couple of months.

Peter

Alex is still the Champion for his his early morning processing efforts though. Some of his have verged on the psychedelic.
