SkyScout Personal Planetarium

Looking for one, willing to pay $250 in mint condition.

I can pickup in the Wollongong region, or pay postage from elsewhere

Thanks

Giving this a rather over optimistic bump

I hate to mention Cash Converters (or eBay), but my local Cashies have got one of these on sale on eBay at the moment, asking $369 Buy It Now or Best Offer. I offered them $200 the other day via the eBay Best Offer process and got knocked back, but its been listed for a while (initially at $440 BIN), so you could try your luck, if you're really keen.

CELESTRON SKYSCOUT PERSONAL PLANETARIUM 93970 SKY GUIDE

(Disclaimer: I realise that Cash Converters AND eBay is a pretty dubious combination, although technically I think as a retailer they must warranty anything they sell. No personal affiliation, recommendation, etc.)

Thanks Mike

I actually made an offer on this last time it was listed, that i thought was reasonable, but knocked back

Thanks for looking for me anyway

I figure these are the sort of semi-novelty hi-tech gadget that somebody who isn't particularly into astronomy may buy on impulse or get as a present, but lose interest in fairly quickly, so the chances of picking up a near-new/little-used one are quite good. Hence my lowball offer - if I didn't find a permanent use for it, it would be easy to resell here on IIS.

If you get serious about this one and can arrange it with Cashies, I'd be happy to inspect it on your behalf and give you an independent opinion on its condition, completeness, etc. Their shop is only a couple of kilometres from my place and I can drop by on the way to Bunnings, so it's no bother.

In any event, keep hitting them with Best Offers until you get lucky - I doubt they'd have paid more than $150-200 for it.

Hi,

I've got one in mint condition which I actually bought from eBay, but I have hardly used it and I have been half thinking lately that I should sell it back on eBay.

I want $300 for it though. Let me know if you are interested.

Also, I am happy if you want someone you know to come over to my place in Melbourne to test it out and confirm it's in the perfect condition I believe it's in. Up to you.

Cheers.

Theo.
