Well I loved the first episode, thought the new guy has managed to capture that manic nature of the Dr nicely.
Amy's hot, nothing like Donna thank god...strong willed & independant I can handle, loud & obnoxious gives me the sh....
I'd say little Emelia on the inside won't let him forget the "back in five minutes" thing though...and rightly so.
Just had a look at a piccy of the new Daleks...what the hell were they thinking?
Daleks are killing machines, their only thought is universal domination, not trying to match furniture from the 60's.
As a member of the Dalek Builders Guild & owner of a mostly finished markIII "Genesis" type (Derek the Dalek) I consider myself a bit of a Dalek fanboy & I too am feeling a little outrage over these abominations.
Drab, grey & battle scarred...that's a Dalek, though the gold NSD's are cool too.
Love the piccy of the girls dressed as NSD's, wouldn't mind getting exterminated by that crew.
Sounds very interesting, you building a mk III darlak,my son would be very interested to see your project,he wants to build one,I have a good wood work shed,He has been on the net and seen something about such a group you mention,or similar.
Personally,I am a bit tired of woodwork, and making a darlak looks rather to challanging.I agree with you being exterminated by those 'darlak chics' may not be such a bad thing!
Such a shame about the new doctor who series, looks like we are in for a few dud seasons.I know this happened after Tom Baker,he an Pertwee I really enjoyed.after those two it was all down hill for sometime for the doctor who fans.
Have watched 2 episodes, and enjoyed them both. I like the new Doc, he has got a lot to live up to, and hes doing well. In a years time, he will be 'The Doctor', and we will barely think twice about it, well, me anyway.

I agree about Donna, makes me angry even thinking of her .... yeah, I know Paddy, you love her .
Gidday Chris, if your son's serious about making a dalek then he should get himself signed up to the DBG, their homepage is Dalekcity dot co.uk.
Lots of helpful tips & the people are like those here, friendly & very helpful.
Haven't had a look at the Guilds plans lately, think they've improved but a very good set of plans can be found at projectdalek dot com, markIII's, NSD's, Special Weapons Daleks, the lot.
If he has a workshop with the right tools and an old man(that's you) to help him out he should have no problem with a dalek.
Cost-wise depends on quality of build & your abilty to scrounge bits, anything from a few hundred to a few thousand dollars is the range & Derek has set me back about $750 with little more to spend.
If that sounds like a lot then to put it in perspective only one company has the rights to build daleks (This Planet Earth, UK) which sell for approx AU$4000 + shipping, that's the cheaper MarkIII model, saw one on ABC's Collectors awhile back auction for AU$6500.
Build quality of those Daleks is nothing special as the original BBC ones, quality could be easily matched by a home builder.
In short if you ever sold it you'd more than make your money back.
So I'll leave you with a couple of pics of Derek so far, must finish him off this dry season, mostly just finishing & painting left to do.
Well done on your fine creation of a darlek,it does look very fine.
I am sure my son has those pages,he did sow me something along those lines.
Yes,would have skills and workshop facilities to build one,I used to restore antique furniture full time,so using old recycled bits and pieces is second nature. Also worked on movie set production, did quite a props in 'Expo88' in Brisbane many moons ago.
thanks for the helpful pointers.
Yes,the gold darleks looked good,so too the black ones,I think there was one called darlek "Khan"-he was black.and was very good.
Yes,I did see that "Collectors" episode on ABC,where in Tasmania a black one was auctioned for $7000.And as you say for around $1000 one can build a example to a very high standard.
On another sci-fi they had a robolt, the one from 'Lost in Space',apparently there is a repro of him.I think I saw a factory production version of it once and the price was very high.
Anyhow, the photos you provided,-I am sure ,have been of great interest to readers of this thread.
Wow - I think the new Doc and Amy look like they'll be very worthy successors, following in hard on the heels of a very tough act.
I've been away a little while, and on the way back discovered the plane had the last few episodes. So I've caught up the last few David Tennant shows and now have seen first 2 Matt Smith episodes. Looking great.
I'm jealous re the dalek too - looks awesome Justin!
