spare EQ mount

if anyone has a spare eq mount, should be at least eq5 they can bring along to the star camp l will bring my 150mm refractor and Zenithstar for those that might be interested to have a look through if you are thinking of buying one and want to check the optics.

I will be bringing my EQ5 which I'd only use for the ED80. But for wide field the ED80 is probably happier on the alt-az camera tripod, which I'm also bringing. So you're welcome to park your big refractor on the EQ5. BYO tube rings + mounting plate.

You can also plonk your OTA/s in my EQ5 when ever you like as well.

I'll be bringing an AZ3 which might be OK for the ED80. I think the AOE80L (900mm FL) is a bit to long for the AZ3, needs a counter weight.

Unfortunately I don't have anything that will hold a 150mm refractor.

ED80 is very happy on a sturdy camera tripod; and the AZ3 should be even better with the slow-motion controls...
