Pretty bad luck about your crappy EQ6 mate but there are some awesome new mounts round these days so your gonna have tons of fun picking a new beast!!!
My sister married a sep and lives over there so I may be will get a Yank mount shipped in thru them it will prolly be way cheaper that way.
Looking at a AP-1200 or a Paramont ME now but those new euro direct drive things look flash but may be will cost a leg or 3 to import from europe.
Or if I can score a Tak NJP or a EM-400 or a EM-500 in Aus would be good.

Really sorry to hear what you have been through as it must have been heartbreaking to go through all that and still not have resolution to the problem. Just hope that whatever mount you do wind up with is not a lemon.
Regards, Allan

Gary have you forwarded your findings to Synta for feedback

I guide with my EQ6 up too 10 minutes at f8 (1600mm) exposures and no really bad issues so I'm sorry to hear about your problems

Cheers

Videos of engineering measurements were forwarded to Synta by Tasco 3 years ago...never heard any more about them. I may have finally fixed the mount - refer to:

but final testing is still needed....

cheers
Gary
