A backyard ambush!

Image#1: A carver bee innocently collecting pollen from sunflowers...

Image #2: A flower spider waiting patiently on a nearby sunflower...

Image #3: The bee picks the wrong flower to visit, and ends up being lunch for the spider!

All taken in my backyard this morning. Thanks for looking!

Cheers,
Stephen

Thanks Kev, Duncan and Liz!

I missed the actual attack by the spider because I was inside downloading the first set of images (my card was full) - so I figured it was too late for any rescue attemps Kev. Anyway, the spider did look hungry!!!

Cheers,
Stephen
