One of my Fav southern sky regions and you have done a wonderful job with the color balance and digging out the details. The pink halos are pretty easy to deal with if you like, it just depends on the time you are willing to spend. The great thing about NB is you have more leverage on color and details IMHO.

Kindest Regards,

Ken Crawford

Dave

I noticed they were discussing your image on this forum: http://astro-forum.org/Forum/index.php?showtopic=31522

If I understood the translation, they say you used a field flattener? Is that right? Or maybe it got lost in the translation...
Cheers

I do use a Astrotech 2" flattener, may be not at its optimal spacing but seems to work ok. Not sure what they are talking about in that forum though...hope something nice

Magnificent image. I can't believe you got such a great result with that little RC. They can kick butt sometimes eh?

Very nice processing and superb detail in the centre regions.

Greg.

Well, I might have to take a look at my NB filters after I have done my galaxy run for the season. Your images and tuts have been a great source of inspiration Ken and I am gonna take your word for it. Mike Sidonio is gonna laugh at me for this. He knows I am marginally opposed to the use of Narrow band filters but he has been producing impressive images with his NB filters.
