Definitely the first option. I suppose I'm a little worried also. They will be in the way and don't want them to get damaged.

To be honest, they have been dancing around the house to different locations when I get a chance to take them outside about once a week.

Surprised they have lasted this long in the house HAHA!

A question Greg. Is your shed in one of the darker locations of the yard (as they often are)? If it is then you are at an advantage there. Less distance to move your equipment for setup and less setup time.

I could always roll the roof off over the chicken coop... it would be a big project though!

Maybe in a few years when I get sick of having to take my mount and scope out each time I want to use it.

Then again, I've got enough materials around the house to build another shed... the only limiting factor is back yard space!

The shed is beside a main road. This main road has multiple Suns on it (aka bloody huge street lamps). These light up my back yard like day time. I usually position my scope in the shade of my gazebo. Not many people look for shade at night time do they!

Then again... anyone in the Adelaide area with a silenced rifle... feel free to pop passed my house to take out a few lights! I swear the road is brighter at night than in a tunnel!

Ouch. I feel our pain. My last place of astronomical residence was beside double tennis courts (night competition courts) and a bowls club that did night bowls.

I love the dark. Wild tractors couldn't drag me back to the light.

Unfortunatly, mines 3.06m by 3.06m.... slightly smaller !
