Peter, nothing has changed since the last update on the DSI II
cooled thread. I'm still using the Jaycar kit and just set the
setpoint to a temp I know will hover above dew point safely.
Hysteresis is about 1 degree but it's been no real problem
in the dark frames. There are no dark holes or hot pixels left
after the pre-processing so that must mean it's tolerable.
10°C is a good place to start on these 27-30 nights and is
easily reached and maintained by the 40mm pelt and Kit.
Given time I was going to add a meaningful temp readout by
feeding the setpoint voltage into a comparator so it read out
degrees directly. In the meantime I have the almost live readout
in Nebulosity and as a comparison, the DMM probe reading live from
the cold finger.
It works, it's rough, but does the job.
