Where can I buy one

Anyone know where I can buy a Wimshurst machine in Oz? New or preloved. Found plenty overseas.
I want to become a mad evil scientist

We have them at school. You should be able to buy one from a educational science dodads supplier in your area as they are fairly common.

Check the yellow pages and give them a ring first. Bound to be a few in Brisbane.

Well I had a look and a ring around but the answers I got were either "a what" or " try retravision".
I will try phoning around when I get back home tomorrow.

I will find out who our labtech uses, we have catalogues at work which should have them in it. If you cannot find one they would be easy to construct if you are handy. A sheet of perspex, some lithoplate and glue, copper brushes and a bit of 10mm rod would just about do it. Like the Vandergraph these contraptions do not work well in humid weather so it needs to be nice and dry to get the best out of them.

You wont have to drive far. If you are 200k the other side of the boondocks, Brisbane is probably very close.
