Centaurus A 24/2.

I had loads of gradients in this pic, Lum and RGB looked awful.
Learned a thing or two on the net and here is the result.
Comments welcome so i can learn more.

This is pretty good Marti

I recon Centaurus A looks great in a good sized star field, it places it in perspective compared to the usual hamburger.

I agree, sometimes an object looks different in a large void (uhmmmm stars).

Nice one Martin
Crisp pic with plenty of detail, but nice and soft on the galaxy with plenty of faint cloud coming through.

Very Pretty Martin,

I like the result, the framing gives it a depth, you dont always see when you get up close. Also, this is probably the best rendition I have seen of Cent A that reminds me of what it looks like in my widefield eyepiece, although with MUCH more stars.

Thanks for posting that, its a beauty!

Cheers

Chris

Good one Martin the larger image file looks tight in the centre but elongation showing in the corners have you nailed this down, star colour is good
