Bit wet in Brissy??

Wow, just watched the news, and you guys copped huge anount of rain today at lunch time ~ 90 mm in an hour, with lots of flash flooding. Images have been amazing.
Hope no damage was caused to your houses or cars
jjj - saw Kilcoy on the radar, and looked like it passed through your way earlier today too.

It was fun, had constant rumbling thunder here for hours and heavy rain plus throw in a blackout for a bit of variety. I had candles lit at 3:00pm it was so dark !!

I was at work when it hit.
The building was shaking with the force of the rain.
The upside is that the temperature is right down. 25 in the house atm. Lovely compared to the 38 we had yesterday.

Certainly one of the great things about rain in the tropics is the lesser temperature. Had a horrible hot night last night here ... no aircon ... fan right up against my face, yucko ...
Glad to hear all is Ok

Went downstairs at lunchtime and the water level in the carpark was about 100mm above the bottom of my car doors! I think nothing leaked in. Fortunately the waters subsided soon after that. Otherwise I might have seen my car floating down Milton Road when I looked out the window.

I managed to hid out in the aircon at home till the lightning storm about 1pm. A sudden flurry of phone calls after that about blown computers. Looks like it will be raining money here for a few days

Sorry for the rain, I just ordered a new bit of astro gear. Won't be delivered for a month or more - so it looks like the rain is here to stay for a while.

Apologies again,

David T

No toucam Liz.
I've only got the LPI, Gstar-ex, canon 20d, canon s3is, canon eso5000, qhy5 and a generic webcam.
Oh, and the Panasonic that I used to use for planetary work.
