Sun Full disk with SM40

Hi All,

After playing around with the SM40 and the DMK, I tried to get a full disc mosaic. There are still blending lines from PS, but I couldn't get Autostitch to work properly.

Shows AR1041 and 1042 quite nicely though.

Excellent result, Stuart. Lovely. Shame about the darker streaks where the blending didn't work.

Thought about false-colouring it?

Hi Mike,

Thanks, usually Autostitch works really well with these, but it won't stitch the upper and lower halves together. PS leaves the telltale stitching marks (scars?).

Everytime I false colour one of these, it looks, well, false. I don't like it, so I leave it as greyscale. I'll give it a burl though...

I like it! Probably just too dark though - a little brighter and it'd be great

Autostitch is sometimes a little touchy - can not complain when it is free!

Do you mind providing the unstitched images to see if AutoPano does a better job? If you can include the focal length and f-ratio for each image that would help.
