Nothing guarantees clear weather quite like a partly built observatory!

(Different effects will be noticed once its finished however)

Hi David

Don't just use any nylon rope, you want braided or a kernmantle type otherwise it will stretch/wear and break with exposure to U/V.

You may have to send an email to Sirius to get the length, doubt if anyone will pull it out just to measure it . Installation of the rope is in the manual.

Cheers

Just did a quick measure for you, you will need at least 7 meters of line.

Cheers

I have just ordered one of these for the POD:

http://www.whitworths.com.au/main_it...t&CloseTimer=1

I have been looking for a while, and this price seems reasonable. I was also tossing up making a dome cover rather than buying and fitting one of these but once fitted this will be much more convenient than a dome cover...

ok i put on the covers tonight, not really happy with the lower opening - the attachment screws dont seem right and basically just went straight through - need to put in some screws with locking nuts.

Also i have no idea how the linkages go together - any photos of some of yours fellas to show me?

also the bottom of the solar fan
