Free Space Shuttle Engines

Seems NASA are willing to give away the space shuttle engines for free, you need only pay shipping & handling. I was thinking of grabbing one to tinker with in my shed but the Missus says it's too crowded already.

Better not go for this award then - it's posthumous!

I'll take two. One to put under the NSW parliament and One to put under the federal parliarment. Notice I did not mention parties.

We could then hopefully blast them all into orbit!

Remember in the movie space cowboys how the old guy took the rocket to the moon and stayed there to save his mates

With those, I think it is how many 100L/km, not the other way around

If valid the offer looks to be engines only. They are looking for other homes for the orbiters.

Well I can help in a big way.

I'm going to view one of these items shortly, I can give you a detailed report and all, for your prospective buy.

And if you don't buy it, I might..... It will be the new telescope tracking system, made purposefully to capture meteors at their intense speed

I mentioned the free engines to the GF
she said "well that could be good for the gate" (we've been contemplating setting up an electric gate opener at the small property as I'm a bit lazy and getting out/in of the car is such an effort...
In the end we decided against it because i think I wouldn't have the patience to do the whole countdown thing every time i wanted to open the gate....

10.....9.......8.....

Wow....I could replace the open fire outside for use in Winter on those cold nights.

It could warm the whole suburb I think....

I once tried to wok out how long it would take for the space shuttle to make a raod trip.
If I am correct, I worked out that you could jump in and turn the engines on while in Sydney, and get to Taree in about 4 minutes.
I dont know how I would get off at Taree though ?

My shed aint big enough either, I'll have to pass.
