Just got a pricing on the HEQ5/EQ6 upgrades on http://www.deepsky-solutions.com/e-price.htm

Bummer is that they are charging about 100 AUD for shipping. A bit over the top if you ask me. Im asking if they have cheaper shipping charges

Tim, also check that the VAT is removed from the price, from what I know for exports they should not charge VAT. 100$ is way overboard. Is that via a courier company or there postal system?

News is a bit better - I emailed them back and complained politely about the shipping, and they have come back with a list of cheaper rates. That $100 rate was express with insurance :-)

without insurance is 39 euro.

Cheapest rate is 12 euro, but that will take 1 to 2 month to arrive

I also did ask about VAT. No response yet.

If they remove VAT, you will have to pay GST

If it's over $1000 then you'll have to pay GST regardless as to whether you paid VAT so make sure you get the VAT free price.
