Was Jupiter foggy last night

Was It just my location last night or did other have the same view. Just after sunset Jupiter looked like a white ball with a foggy mist in front of it. The moons all seemed sharp enough.

What's Jupiter? Is that something that you think might exist on the other side of the wall-to-wall cloud bank that's covered Sydney for the last 4.5 billion years?
