A couple of crabs.

Hi All,

I have a very limited window to catch the Crab, I get about an hour and a half each night to take piccies before it slips behind the roof of the observatory. This has taken several nights to collect enough data.

There are two representations, one with a synthetic green channel froma mix of the Ha and OIII data, the other is in HST palette (SII:Ha:OIII for R:G:B).

Hope you all like them!

Larger versions available here

Cheers
Stuart

Beautiful Stuart, you must be happy with them.
Which scope - the GSO 8" or the Meade 10" ACF ?

Hi Jeff,

This was taken with the 8" RC.

It's only 3 hours of data. One hour of each Ha SII and OIII. Gotta love the ST-10's QE!

Cheers
Stuart

That's very nice. I like the synthetic green version. Very good details in there.

Really nice. Both of them. Hats off to you persistence in capturing it over multiple nights. Great detail. Well done.

Very nice Stuart. The NB really lifts the otherwise grey centre of this target and shows all the detail.

Nice stars and focus. Well done.

I think I like the red version Stuart. Loads of detail but some slight noise present. I cannot get this from my observatory because the roll off roof does not roll back far enough, so I just have to admire the efforts of others.
