Mooloolabah memories

It seems a long time ago, but I shot this early one morning when on hols up the north coast. This was before the monsoon set in - I'm not sure I had ever seen the coast so dry and there was lots of dust and smoke in the air - particularly visible at sunrise and sunset.

I'm not usually an early riser, but my 2yr old son decided 5am was a good time to be up on this morning...
(pardon me being lazy and not resizing properly)

I know what you mean Liz - you always think its so nice to enjoy the world without 90% of the population running around. Then my nightowl habits kick in again....

Thanks Rob - I'd like to pretend it was skill, but in reality this was one of 50 other efforts at different settings. Educational though!
Was such a nice morning I was sure I could get a few keepers...

Thanks Mitchell.
I'm enjoying learning more about terrestrial photography with my 450D when time allows. I really didn't want to mod it and lose half the dial options though.
