Heavily cropped because the edges were crap.
I've probably overcooked it too, but you get to a stage where you can't see any different.
Please, any advise would be handy.
Sure would mate! The square crop looks great too by the way, Even if it was to hide field curvature, it looks really nice.. The only change I would make to the image (being purely from a personal taste aspect) would be to rotate it 180 degrees...
Another great image but i'm wondering where you are taking these images from. All we have on the coast is clouds. I need to head west a little. Well done.
Nice image JJ. I would probably advise a little lighter on the processing and maybe lift the colour saturation a bit to get a bit of colour back into the stars, they all seem a little over cooked and white.
Sorry for destroying your image but it may give you some ideas. Saturation up. Histogran levls adjustment to the black point and a little more red using curves. Dificult to do from a small JPG file.
Hope t helps and I hope you don't mind.
Thanks Doug.
I'm always up for a repro. And I think this one may be worth the effort. Can't remember at what stage I burnt out the stars. I didn't do any sharpening so it must have been levels.
Anyway, thanks for the advice.
