NGC 2244 from Wiruna

Here's another pic from Wednesday night at Ilford.
40 min on the rosette, so 20x120s - C11/Hyperstar 3

Bonsoir marc cet hyperstar est vraiment très rapide super resultat pour le peu de pose.
J'ai une question avec ton c11 est-ce qu'il garde la collimation , car le club m'en a preté un et suivant le coté ou il se trouve je suis obligé de la refaire.Alors que je n'ai pas ce problème avec mon c8

Salut Lucien. Oui a 11" - F/1.8 c'est un systeme tres rapide. Le mirroir du telescope est assez lourd donc il bouge quand tu incline le tube d'un cote ou l'autre et donc la collimation n'est pas maintenue a cent pour cent. J'ai mis trois vis de blockage a cent vingt degrees filletees dans le berceau du mirror. Mais c'est quand meme mieux de prendre des photos proches du zenith pour eliminer ce probleme.

That's a light bucket in the true sense of the word Marc

I'd like to see a litle more colour variation though but it looks good.

Thanks Mike. I never shot this one before so I wasn't too sure about the colors. It turned out pretty red. Maybe because of the UHC-S filter also I've compensated in the histogram for the red channel. I've seen a lot of pink shots of this DSO around. I reckon it's pretty faint and needs longer exposures, maybe 4-5min subs. Will know for next time.
