Sorry all, I cant make it tonight, I have Surf Lifesaving duties in the radio room rostered for early tomorrow.

Who'd have ever thought that surf life saving duties could clash with astonomical observing opportunities!

Sorry Buddy,
We need more operators for the radio duties.
We seem to be rostered on too much.
even though I am rostered on for 8.30 am , I need to get there about 7.45 to turn on radios and set evrything up ready for the days events to unfold....

I arrived to an empty paddock.
Clouds rolling in
Waited till 9:20.
Started to rain as I pulled away.
Downpour on the mountain.
Got home, not a drop had fallen.
At least I was able to stop in and chat to the nice folk at the soaring club on the way. Met the president. And an IIS member from Berowa (Satchmo I think).

What a shame it was all such an anti climax for you Allan.
I went down to Canberra yesterday to collect a turbo charged Mary Rose, I am very excited. Will post some pictures tomorrow if I can get organised.
