Dust early warning again

Today i closed the Tibooburra to Broken Hill road as visibilty is down to 20 mtrs.

So eastern oz are you ready again.

The dust forcaster is on the job again.

This pic is from Tibooburra looking south and its making its way east.

When it covers us i,ll post another pic.

Yup! thanks for the heads up. I had to clean my mirror after the last dose.
then got another a few days later. I'll go cover some things now just in
case it hits the north coast.

Sure is Liz i cant remember us ever having dust storms here.
Its just so dry out here.
The great drought has really got a hold.

P.S. its still very dusty outside.

Ok, so today we've had dust, smoke, gale force winds, clouds and rain.

Not looking good for astronomy...

..I"ve missed a few nights of late and more due to endless smoke on the coast .. ( could barely make out orion ).. took a few crap amatuer shots of sol with the dust and smoke mixing in this afternoon ..wow .. pretty crap wow .. but no filters and a good mix of both looks nice to me .

We have dust and smoke mixed tonight. I can see Jupiter and a few stars but I won't be taking the cover off my scope. Shame really as there aren't any clouds.

Sure is a shame now we are all coming towards the new moon.

It was a weird day here today in Tibooburra in the morning it was cool then after lunch it went straight to hot.
