I started drinking Buds and Millers when we went to the US last year. Love 'em, great beers, not to everyones taste but I love em.

No, I haven't, but I will investigate that.
We met Limoncelo in Amalfi, watched it being made through the window in that place in Capri where you can buy various liquors in bulk from big stainless steel tanks, and I then loaded my Customs allowance to the hilt in Sorrento at a grocery place across the road from the railing overlooking the gorge.
Someone just read this post over my shoulder and said "bloody poseur"

A record?
Something else, would this thread be a record for 67 posts in less than one day?
Jeanette certainly pushed a big button in us here. I am going to a Xmas party tomorrow so I will take notes on variety, rate, condition etc
Cheers

Not a big drinker, but gin (Bombay Sapphire or Tanqueray). Pernot and ice.
Something hard hitting 80% proof Stroh Rum

Done that before!
Did not taste too bad!
I saw on Astronomy Picture of the Day that the average colour of the universe was beige

The average taste of alcohol beverages - OK!

Considering that it's in General Chat, it's amazing it's gone this long, tension free.

second that, admittedly only a handful of times a year (mostly summer late evening) i would drink a single nice cointreau with schweppes lemonade/ice in a large frosty martini glass, topped with a refreshing slice of lime, but i really enjoy those occasions, moderation rocks!
i have been thru so many fads, like most people, hard to say any one thing, have had very long periods of times in life when completely stopped drinking, nil by mouth, and not one drop of demon drink did pass my lips - coopers pale ale is an enduring staple these days i would have to admit, purely for sanity management
...but mostly i sup from the intoxicating silvery frosted dew drops that fall from the wheeling dazzling firmament, with mine eyes

Alcohol reduces stress and tension.
Ergo the discussion of alcohol in this thread is relaxing everyone.

A man after my own heart Geoff, I like a beer I can chew.
Greg.
I also keep a bottle of Vodka in the freezer (single shots sometimes).

John Cleese once said that drinking Budweiser was like making love in a canoe.

G & T for me on a hot day, or the only "neat" stuff has got to be Tanqueray - but soooo expensive unless it's duty free
The very worst mixture is - from my bartender days in New York "Waiter, please give me a very dry Martini" Meaning of course he really wants neat cheap gin - UGH UGH
The Creme de la creme, though, is Baileys MMMM MMMM MMMM but is it classed as a spirit?

So long as it lifts your spirits, I class it as a spirit.
