Meade 10" ACF & Celestron C8 scopes Images Added

Ok – I give in – I can’t move in my observatory and at my wife’s prompting here is some stuff if anyone is interested

SALE Pending on the Meade

Meade 10 inch ACF OTA with Synta dovetail fitted, 5 months old, from Bintel, there is one small scratch in the blue tube paint about 1 cm long, apart from that perfect, used 3 times, includes a moonlite motor focuser and a Cercis motor focus controller with cables etc (yep – autofocus with focusmax – free download) – reason for sale – I was going to beat Peter Marples and find more supernovae than he does but Stu Parker has already done that so the challenge has gone – seriously but I am only concentrating on astrophotography now with my refractors so this is just wasted sitting there, includes original boxes – New prices scope $3299, focuser $270, controller $354 Total $3923 Sell as unit for $3000 (about75%). I'll also include an AstroCap combined dust cap / Bahtinov Mask with the scope (usually about $100) - Note in image it does not include the guidecope, teh finder or the Canon DSLR

If no-one wants it as a unit in a reasonable time then I will separate as Meade scope $2500 and focuser with controller $500.

Gone - Give Away - Celestron Classic C8, fork mount plus wedge, this is an older C8 but the good part of being older is that the mount has a Byers gear, optically very good, I’ll include a Hirsch 0.63 focal reducer – The scope cost me $800 without the reducer – sell for $800 – scope comes in a foam lined home made box. I have honestly never used this scope apart from an initial visual appraisal of optical quality about 12 months ago. I have set it up for use on a equatorial mount and will include the mounting rings. Bobs knobs fitted as well.

Scopes are at the observatory and I knew if I didn’t advertise now I probably never would.

First in best dressed but I would prefer pick up from Tweed Heads area or Leyburn (near Toowoomba) or I could deliver to southern Brisbane area on the way out to the observatory one Friday afternoon. If shipping is required, I will get a quote from Pack and Send down the road from me and then add that to the price. If they are shipped ensure you know how to collimate a SCT when it gets there. Prices are firm and no I don’t want to swap for a Breville Breadmaker or anything else .

Just in case you do end up splitting it, what focuser/controller is this?

Gday Mate

Focuser is the Moonlite CS with the high res stepper motor

http://www.focuser.com/cgi-bin/dman....cgi&product=CS

and the controller is the Cercis Astro controller

http://www.cercisastro.com/DslrStar.html

Both support focus max operation - after calibration it is just click to focus and it (focuis) has always been perfect
