Sky & Tel magazine wanted.

This is a long shot but here we go....

I am after Sky and Telescope Issue September 1988 (US version). Any condition, but I would prefer best possible condition.

Also prepared to pay a reasonable price.

Hmmmm, I'll have a look as well, got boxes of US mag in the shed, and 88, just maybe there.

Thanks Jeanette and Leon,

For some reason I am missing this issue. they have never been loaned to anyone and they were originally a gift subscription from a friend , so there is a lot of sentimental value in keeping this set together, along with 1988.

In fact I have been actively reading them again and they are quite interesting. I might post some articles and advertisements from these issues for a bit of general interest.

I hope you can help.

Just in case you cannot find the mag you are after here - check astromart.com - from time to time they have S&T mags for sale.

Cheers Petra d.

Thanks David, I often watch eBay but this issue has has never surfaced.

Thanks for the offer, Steve. I am really after an original to complete that year.

That Astromart you now have to pay a one-off payment to join.

I think it's always been the case that you have to pay to join Astromart, or as least as long as I can remember.

grrr at EBay. Sometimes, I'm sure that they bloody well try and make life difficult for you. I went searching for sky and telescope mags, found some that interested me but 'ask a question' doesn't let you message the seller, just gives you some stupid FAQs. You go to the sellers store and try and contact them and you get an error message. So, I bought an item, and usually you can send a message to the seller to verify the price etc, weird, it just went straight through to paypal payment etc. I then noticed another tab had opened, where I could verify the price (inc. shipping). This was dealing with EBay US btw, it seems each region is slightly different in layout/contact options. Bloody stupid if you ask me.

PS the item I just bought off EBay (hopefully the guy will ship to Australia) was Sep 1988. Stay put for the moment, if I get it, you can have it
