Moon with my new DMK31

Hi all

I have used my DMK31 on the Sun recently but gave it a quick go on the Moon tonight through my 8" at prime focus - Wow the field of view is massive compared to the DMK21.
The image is of Tycho region including Clavius - about 700 images in Registax5.
I am looking forward to longer sessions under better conditions.

Very nice Matt! First light for my DMK 41 too.

What scope are you using?

Al.

Excellent image, Matt!

You might consider providing the time as well as the date on which your observations are made, here and on your website:

Things like your penumbral eclipse photo:

as well as your many excellent lunar limb and shadow images, would be much more interesting if the time were known.

Thanks all

It is nice to know people enjoy the excitement of others when we play with our toys.
Hi Jim - I will start adding dates to my work (I think we are +10 UT).
Thanks Al - I use a Meade LX90 8" (Classic - non GPS etc etc etc) - I also took a few 2.5 Powermate images last night but the conditions were not steady - I will post some more later on.

See ya

Very nice Matt,

Seem to be an ideal camera for an attempt at full Moon map.

Regards
Trevor

The images you have there are the same area I was observing closely just last night.
You have some wonderful sharp features and good detail there.
Well done.
