I just ducked down to the shops before and looked up.......CLEAR

The shock almost killed me.

Too bad it's full moon, also too bad the dew is so heavy.

Moon is ok, as I am testing a Sirius minus V filter.
Today it was blowing a gale freezing cold with hail storms
Now it's clear

Conventional wisdom has it that seeing is good after rain and storms. Does that apply to locales dep within the roaring 40's, such as Melbourne?

Just came in from 2 hours of viewing. clear skies and no dew (slight breeze). Had to give up with the moon taking over. Still had a great time in and around Sagittarius and Scorpius. Look forward to next week when the moon "goes away"

got all this nazi high cloud here in Melbourne. What else would one expect here under a forecast of "sunny"

Maybe I'll have better luck in freaking Antarctica

Alice Springs looks like the place to be atm, the nearest cloud is 2000km away Ahhh if only...

That would be nice. But better relocate the city to the Pilbara. Clear skies all year and no winter

The climate here is insufferable. All this retarded Melbourne cloud is thickening right up And the forecast for the next 7 days is the usual wall-to wall cold, rain and cloud

We are undoubtably the England of the southern hemisphere, while Sydney seems to be the Meditteranian of the southern hemisphere this winter
