Jupiter and Ganymede from 2th Aug

Hello all,

here is my the best image of Jupiter for now. Seeing was the best I ever seen, propably finally 9-10/10. So I grab some avis and stacked 800 of them in registax. I even did'nt need the IR filter! Used was my 8" Newt, 8mm TeleVue Plossl and QHY5 mono camera w/o filter. E.F.L. was around 5 meter. Image was resampled.

Cheers, Roman

Very nice image, Roman!

I don't think I've seen any planetary stuff with a QHY5, nice work.

Thanks!

I know, it's not very popular camera. You can see a homepage at qhyccd.com. This camera start producing in his home man named Qiu Hy. Now he producing many ccd cameras (primary for deepsky astrophotography) with low price, but high-fidelity at that price.

I also think about DMKs, but I tried this one to learn about taking planetary pictures (your pages helps me very much, thanks for them ) and somewhen in future take one of the Lumenera or Dradonfly camera. Then I leave this camera for planetary and will use it for autoguiding (which is primary constructed for).

And here is a color image. Color take my "astromate" Michal Vajda with his 8" Newt and SPC 900NC webcam. I just join my layer with his color one, and voalla, a colored Jupiter .
