Thanks Carl - and I agree with you. The NABG ST-8 seems to apply incedible contrast to star edges, such that they appear as solid disks. I suppose that's where the learning curve comes in, and I'll investigate shorter subs next time so that the wells don't fill up quite so much.

I can't wait to get an SII now, as I have my own 2" 7nm Ha coming today courtesy of Peter - "Gallifreyboy", who did me an incredible favour and picked up a Baader unit from Peter Lee in Hong Kong for me last week whilst he was there thanks Peter! I already have a 2" OIII. False colour narrowband Hubble palettes here I come!
