Exclamation The Big Picture: Remembering Apollo 11

We all love the space-related stories that The Big Picture does.

And this is no exception.

The Big Picture - Remembering Apollo 11

Talk about eye candy!

I was only 3 months old when it happened so although here, can't say I remember it. And yes I do believe we went there. I'm sure going to the moon inspired men to dream bigger than ever before, and achieve more than ever before since.

Thanks for sharing these photo's. Enjoyed them all.

I can remember sitting on the couch in the lounge room of our old home in Yagoona, watching the Moon landing on the TV.

Greatest snapshot of all time

Thanks Mike,

Thanks for the link.

I have always regarded the "visor picture" of Aldrin taken by Armstrong (no 28 in
the article sequence) as the greatest snapshot ever taken in the entire history
of photography.

Certainly there are few photographs that were as expensive as these to take or
as complex and as technically difficult to even to get to the site.

Best Regards

Gary
