Probably one of the best 9.25 image I have seen of this object. My recommendation is to send it to Celestron, I am sure they would like to put it on their brochures.

Stunning image and beautifully processed.
Paul your praise is very much appreciated

Not sure how to go about sending a copy to Celestron though

By the way your comment on our previous thread regarding lining the obs. You'll be pleased to know that David will complete lining it tomorrow

Sure will help those all nighters when everything gets so damp.

Good stuff Barb, I am sure that everything will now be ncie and dry.

As far as contacting Celestron. You could try their publicity side via their contact on their website, on the following link. http://www.celestron.com/c3/page.php?PageID=26

Once again a lovely image.

Absolutely fantastic shot David and Barb as everyone has commented. The core so nicely controlled, with lovely detail and subtle colours - and all from the unmodded 40D!

A lovely image guy's, you've captured some great depth and detail in this one and the colours are very natural looking.

Top stuff.

The processing takes hours to do Matthew. Most of the processing tips have come from IIS members which I picked up browsing other threads and some Photoshop tutorials I found on the net.

Nearly missed this one. Good job Barb and David. A spectacular image indeed. The outer reaches of nebulosity appear to be a difficult target from the humble DSLR, typically requiring good data and heavy stretching. Well done.

We seem to have a good system going Mike and I'm the one that doesn't have to be out in the cold

Although David is in the process of connecting our obs computer to a monitor inside the house so he can work from inside
