I am really lucky to have gotten some more time on this mega-scope down at Southern Galactic (formerly MRO). The same system that the recent Corona Australis image was taken with.
Not really having much time to play, I thought it would be good to try another showcase object. I really like imaging these bright objects with different scopes from different locations, because a) there are loads of direct comparison images around, and b) retaking them, gives useful added perspective.
That, and I always get a kick out of seeing them. None less than this time!

Take a look at the 1800x1800 image, it's quite amazing.
Info is beneath the opening image, but in summary this is 4.1 hours of exposures. L=90m Ha,R,G,B=40m
I'm really getting spoiled now in having to go back to my 4" scope in light polluted suburbia! And very much looking forward to the dark skies and no phone signals of Astrofest!
Hope you like it.
