Exclamation Best Space Cartoon : Mavin the Martian?

I think the best space cartoon has the character known as Marvin The Martian (or Commander X-23) in the 1953 - "Duck Dodgers in the 24 1/2 Century."

The actual story-line follows Daffy Duck (Duck Dogers) who sets out to find him and a mineral the Earth wants. He follows from Planet A to Planets B, C, D, etc., until he reaches the designated Planet X. He immediately claims it for Earth, when also Mavin arrives in the ship, the Martian Maggot, who instead claims it also for Mars!!

A interplanetary battle for the planet ensues, which in the end is destroyed, blown to kingdom come... It ends with the statement "B-B-B...ig Deal" !!

Just Brilliant...

See http://video.yahoo.com/watch/42704 for a vid of the cartoon...

Are there any others of space cartoons of note?????
Surrender or be blown into 17,670, 002 microcells!!

...or get me the Illudium PU-36 Explosive Space Modulator !!

+ One or two more, too...

Also see the crazy "Hare-way to the Stars"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0X-t4en2wPE

"It obstructs my view of Venus!"

or the crazier ... "Haredevil Hare" (1948)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CHZv-...eature=related

"Probably get ahead on the Moon" and "There's a beautiful Earth out tonight!"

Also the send up of Disney's Pluto is genius....

There's always "the Jetsons", and Futurama.

Does Rocky and Bullwinkle qualify? ("Rocket J. Squirrel").

Always loved the old Loony Tunes/Warner Bros cartoons, those animators coupled with Mel Blanc's voice characterizations were fantastic
Funny how back then Blanc voiced Marvin as a stereo-typical nerd or geek

Hi Enchilada,

My favourite L Toon characters are Marvin, Yosimite Sam, Foghorn Leghorn and that Tassie Devil. But the last two, I believe never were in any outer space or scifi adventures.

Here's one that was around for a while but not well known. Not a very good one.

Invasion of the Bunny Snatchers.
It follows something like the old sci fi movie.

Cheers Marty
