Up shields!

While I'm waiting for mars, thought I'd show U's all my home-made anti-wind/street-light/pesky-neighbour-lights shields. Dirt cheap to make!

Actually something like that could help me as well. Where I setup (only place I can really) has two street lights about 50m and 75m away in direct view, and the lights from the house, next doors house both ways etc. I should take a picture of it, damn annoying.

What did you use to make it Asi?

thiink: Their made of old lengths of 4"X1" pine that were going to be cut up for fire wood. 10'X8' frames & then bought some of that black plastic that comes on rolls from the hardware store. One of the frames is a bit shorter cos' I mis-calculated on the total square metre estimate for the plastic when I bought it lol. Very handy items! I want to make 2 more, so then I can be completely boxed in. The one you see in the pic is tied to the hills hoist. My missus gets pretty narky if I leave them up during the day If I can't be blowed taking them down after a observing session though.

Kearn: Yep, slightly south of east.

Hey, I figure if you make your light screens enough of an eyesore, the neighbours will turn their lights off so as not to see it! problem solvered!

My neighbor on one side is pretty co-operative in turning off his outside lights if I ask him. The other I dont talk to much and he has a habit of floodlighting his entire backyard.

I think I'll make some screens with black plastic facing me , and the other side covered in angry faces for the neighbor to look at
