Astronomy Books For Sale

I'll admit it ... I might be a tad addicted to astronomy, but there are worse things I suppose.

Current edition Astronomy books for sale:

1. CCD Astrophotography - High Quality Imaging from the Suburbs
(Adam M. Stuart, 2006, 193 pages)
A comprehensive, practical and up to date introductory book on planetary and deep sky imaging. Having learnt a lot from this book over the past 18 months, I'm now familiar with its content and no longer need it.
New cost $62.
Sell $35 plus postage.

2. Understanding Relativity - A Simplified Approach to Einstein's Theories
(Leo Sartori, 1996, 367 pages)
A current text book within the Swinburne University Astronomy Masters/Diploma courses. Clearly explains implications of theories (eg. time dilation, length contraction, space-time diagrams) and some of the experiments used to test/validate them. The part I enjoyed the most was the chapter on "Paradoxes of Relativity".
New cost $50.
Sell $28 plus postage.

3. The Cambridge Concise History of Astronomy
(Michael Hoskin, 1999, 361 pages)
Another current text book within the Swinburne University Astronomy Masters/Diploma courses. Provides a "down to Earth" account unravelling the solar system, evolution of the telescope, and the many subsequent developments in cosmology and astrophysics. A good nerdy read for the "International Year of Astronomy".
New cost $79.
Sell $40 plus postage.

Or $90 for the three books together, plus postage.

Please send a PM if interested.

Cheers,
Jeff
