A bit of a strange one. When I stack images in Deepsky Stacker the process goes through the usual registration then stacking process (which seems fine), but when it comes to displaying the final image I don't get anything on the screen. Any ideas?
Hmmm, that certainly is strange, it usually finishes the final image with a square by square presentation, why I do no know, but one is left with a image to save or do what one wants.

Uninstalling applications in Windows does not usually really uninstall them. My advice:
1) uninstall as normal
2) remove any leftover folders/files from the program files directory
3) remove any leftover folders/files from your c:\users\username directory
4) edit the registry (HKLM\software typically) and remove. Note: use the registry at your own risk. If you make the wrong mistake, you can screw your computer. If you're not sure, don't touch it. Second note: always back up your registry before touching it. You can do this by right clicking on "computer" and selecting "export" from the drop down menu. Save the file on your Desktop, and call it something like backup.reg. If you screw up, do NOT reboot your computer. Double click on the backup.reg file and it'll import all of the registry settings back as they were before.

Yep, that's what I was getting previously. Now zip. I'll keep trying.

Does final stacking not produce the autoasve.tif file that you can open?
What program is taking the fits images ?
Ive come across a problem with Nebulosity capturing images, where DSS failed to recognize them when loaded. I could process them in Nebulosity just the same but no longer in DSS.
autoasve.tif file, is the most useless thing i have come across, unless you save it, the original image file under a different name, your stuffed, as Auto save tiff will not open, I delete it each time it presents itself.
