I picked the easiest object to photo and thats the Moon. I used a Pentax MX-50 35mm film camera mounted on a tri pod and looking thru a 25mm eye piece on an 8 inch Dob. Anyway Just thought I'd share it :-)
Great job Karl, you've got to be happy with that!!
The photo yes.
The fact I didnt clean the scanner before I uploaded it. No :-)
So use to digital cameras and using USB , the scanner doesnt get much use.
Well done. Welcome to the world of Astrophotography. A lot can be achieved by holding a camera to an eyepiece. Good also to start of on the big objects. You should also be able to get Saturn which is currently in the contellation Leo. Can be found using Skymaps.com

Thanks Mark, I have a few of Saturn and the jewel box as well. Just by using a digital camera down the eyepiece. If I get brave enough I'll upload them :-)
Thanks Geoffro, Once I get the adapter to fit the camera to the telescope, I'll definitely take some more :-)
All I use on my 4.5 inch scope is an adaptor that screws onto the eyepiece, and I get some reasonable results after about a years worth of trying. ( My wife says I am very trying ???? ).
