Phew, all over for 100 Hours of Astronomy, but
HUGE SUCCESS up here. All the nights clear, and some great sights seen, despite being held on The Strand amidst the bright street lights.
We had about
1000 people through, Saturday night crazy with about 400-500 people .... with many never having looked through a scope!! They were astounded, shocked, amazed and moved by what they saw. It was great for us.

and the public were very appreciative of our efforts.
Most nights we had about 6 scopes set up, and all had lines for most of night. All very tiring and draining, but worth it.
Many inquiries re our group, telescopes, some very tricky astronomy questions, and re our upcoming public nights that we are holding over the next 4 months ... in a darker site.
Shame it sounded a bit damp and cloudy for a lot of you
