Search For Water

With roadworks in the outback comes the search for water to complete jobs.

With saying that I have to organize a few blokes to come around and clean out a few of our old bores.

We get a 400cfm compressor on site connect it to 1 1/2 inch blueline polytube, Feed it down the hole till its about 500mm off the sieve on the bottom of the bore caseing then hit the air full on.

When we first hit this bore with air the flow was hopeless, came back the next day and put a bucket of chemfix (acid) down the hole to clean out the slots and sieve, then hit it with air again and it was a rejuvinated full on bore and producing 10000 ltrs per hour from a depth of 35 metres.

The 1st pic is showing the head of the water when the air has just been turned on.

Cheers Kev.

A column of water in such a dry environment, great contrast.
