That question has been asked many times and a plausible answer has been given but I forget what it was. I think it was something to do with a sponsor or something like that.

The thing about dracula and his image. I was always of the belief that vampires do not reflect in a mirror. That is how you identify them.

What I had been told...

World Series Baseball: There was a sponsor (now defunct) that had the title "World Series <something or other>" (I can not remember what it was) and I think it was a magazine or newspaper but could be wrong. Anyway long time ago, even though said former sponsor went the way of the Dodo they decided to maintain the title as it had built up its own momentum by then. Sort of like "Keen as mustard" except Keen is still in business and making mustard.

I'm sure the facts could be confirmed by Google & Wikipedia but could I be bothered...

RE: World Series Baseball
I've also heard many times that the name came from a sponsor.
But if you put any faith in Wikipedia, you might like to read this.
Seems it comes down to, yet again, that America IS the world :/

The answer is that Dracula used Claifornia Poppy during the 50's & 60's.
He then progressed to Brylcream in the 70's & 80's.
Hair gel in the 90's and Instant Rockstar-Rock Hard Moulding Clay in the new millenium.

As for the Miss Universe paegent, its because earth girls are easy - or so I have heard some where.
