For all you conspiracy theorists...

(move in close so I can whisper...)

It's really stands for "Interstellar Cooperative Explorers in Space". (Mike's story is just a front to keep the unbeliever's off the track...). All those stories about alien's on earth? Huh! Great to be able to turn a true story around and just have it dismissed as fanciful, isn't it? The truth is... WE are the alien's (but not here... on other worlds) ... we just don't want the word to get out otherwise the rush to join will outstrip our resources. Outwardly, we project an image of harmless star gazers, but this is really a highly organised interstellar intelligence gathering operation for our REALLY secret operations branch. Our cover has never been faulted!

So now you must be sworn to secrecy, or you'll be ruthlessly ridiculed so that no-one will believe your story.

You are now... ONE OF US!

As an aside, I have successfully gotten a mate of mine to organise, pay for, and send out invitations to his own surprize 30th Birthday party, and I do pretty well in a serious game of "Balderdash".

Al.

When observing in the winter time it feels like you have ice in your shoes

Then they go all numb and it feels like you are walking in space

Well.... I was way off. Had thought it may have been something philosophical to do with ice in space being the pointers towards us finding life out there. Think i like real story more though.

Oh Eric that's terrible!!

Gave me all sorts of visions of unorthodox space-based weaponry.

Can you imagine losing a satellite to one of those.
