Dam Clouds

Hi,
Just wondering is there any way on the net to tell the cloud cover for the next day or so. I want to set up my scope tonight but looking outside it looks like it is going to rain.. grrrrr

Hi Anthony,

I frequent the bureau of meteorology's website, the 'latest infrared image' on the link below is the g o (apologies if obvious and already aware of this one) . Live image but no cloud prediction besides usual forecasts. Still handy when used with wind direction....

Hi all, two of the programs I use are:
Weatherunderground http://www.wunderground.com/wunderma...0&ndfd=0&pix=0 Click on the satellite link & put the sensitivity slider about 92. It will show the clouds. You can animate the image as well.

and APanel http://7timer.y234.cn/V3/product.php...=AS08&site=704
This page is set for perth, and sat & sun look great (lucky sods)
Hope these help.

Had 2 nights of clear skies since I got back to Geraldton (WA) and that was during Full moon . Been cloudy ever since. Not a drop of rain so far, but I see the cloud is coming off Cylone Lisa, so we might get some yet.

Winter is the best time with crisp clear skies and nice chilled scopes.

And a Beanie, Freezer Suit an' Boots.
Joking aside, had a lot of great, but very cold nights in NSW with the scope. Roll on winter ! Just hope it's as good here in WA.

surprisingly transparent here this morning. Sky looks glorius even with the last quarter moon up. But having just come home from work and drank a cocktail of redbull and booze, stargazing aint gonna happen!
