If you are planning to work without the hand controller using EQMOD you need Serial TTL level (5V) conversion.

If you intend to plug into the bottom of the hand controller you need a USB->serial adaptor and a serial cable with an RJ12 connector on one end.

If I'm not mistaken .. when I bought my EQ6 Pro it came with a serial to RJ12 cable included to enable downloading updates to the hand controller. I don't know if you received one with your mount but that's what you need to connect for direct computer control. Then all you need is a serial to USB adapter probably available at Dick Smiths or the like.

I bought one of those cheap usb to rs232 cables from ebay. It only works with my camera, not my eq6. I bought an ATEN cable, and although it's a lot more expensive, it works perfectly.
I wouldn't bother with the cheap ones from ebay.
