Nice images Mark,

Considering you have not used darks, flats or dark flats these really are great images. You have captured some excellent data, why didn't you take calibration frames?

Regards
Trevor

Thanks Trevor

It was just too late, and I was stuffed. I always go out there with good intentions. I am wanting to build a light box so I dont have to wait till dawn.

Well done. M20 is my pick of the panel. For one 30min sub with no calibration frames applied its quite remarkable. Good to see folks going deep with long subs. It delivers the goods. Thanks for sharing.

I agree with Jase - for a single exposure, M20's a rippa! Well done!

Very nice set, but can I ask a dumb question from a noobie? How did you get the Trifid Nebula? I'm looking at planning objects for this weekend, and overnight it looks like M20 is below the horizon. Am I checking incorrectly?

This shot of M20 was taken roughly between 4:00 and 4:30 am on Sunday morning, the Moon was just about to rise.
It was fairly low but manageable........................
Its really a winter object.
