Moon Stitch

Hi guys, here is my first attempt at stitching some shots of the Moon. It's pretty basic but after so many cloudy nights I gave up on the other stuff and went back home to the Moon (on the first clear night which happened to be this bright Moon!). I've taken a few liberties here, the colours and brightness and whatever else is wrong.... but that just leaves room for improvement doesn't it! Steve. (make sure to zoom in).

Steven this is a very good result.

Love the detail in the Tyco, Copernicus and Aristarchus regions, particularly the terracing.

It is a lot softer in the regions of The Alps and Caucuses. I realize how difficult this is. Have been working on a 57 image stitch of the Moon for about two years, still haven't got the result I am looking for.

It is always a compromise in not over exposing the bright areas while not making the dark areas appear black and getting the correct overlap with 57 images is a challenge.

How many images are in your stitch?

Overall I think you should be well pleased with this effort.
Well done.

Regards
Trevor

I wouldn't be making any apologies for this effort. Some great detail in there and if that is your first go, whow.
