Not sure I can say am in awe but never grow tired of listening to Dark Side of the Moon by the Floyd and the way Waters captures the way in which life flies by...

"You are young and life is long and there is time to kill today.
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you. No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun. "
From "Time"

John Lennon produced some of the most deep and meaningful music ever.
He wrote from the heart. Can you imagine the 60's and 70's without his music? I still feel moments of great sadness over his passing.

Hi,

Several Cat Stevens songs are like that:

On the Road to Find Out
The Cat's in the Cradle

The melody that really moves me is the Va Pensiero from Nabucco by Verdi, known as the "Chorus of the Hebrew slaves".

It has even been suggested for the Italian National Anthem, but that would never fly for obvious reasons.

Italian soccer fans often sing this. Try it

its sad to me that music has gone too commercial these days, too worried about the right look rather than the right sound, i guess that doesnt matter when they want you to look how they want and they will make you play what they want you to.

there just isnt the feeling in the music anymore either. sure there might be a few decent groups around but im speaking of the way the music industry has gone. more worried about making money than putting good music out there i guess.

Hi,

I think this song is powerful also. The violin part in that always brings up goosebumps on me.

Did you serve there?

Cheers

No, I'm too young by about 20 years but I have helped look after many that did as part of my work.
