Horse from afar
Remotely captured from Singapore. Hotel ISP's nearly dove me spare.

Clearly more data required...but now I'm back in Oz the weather has clouded up for the Chinese New Year...

Yep...wondered why the CCD would not go more than 15 below. It was hot at the equator too

Wow. Lovely Peter - an etheral quality about the gas jets coming off IC434.
I've never noticed in other pics, but looks like we might even have a "son of horsehead" off to the South (right in pic) of the HH in another million years or so.....

Nothing a few more hours worth of data won't fix

You know, you can get into trouble for deliberately doping a horse

Ooops, sorry - my fault - just installed my new Robofocus!
Well, you've got the lasso around his neck Peter, now tame that bronco with some more data!
Cheers, Marcus

Very pleasing on the eye! as you say, a little noisy, but definitely nothing another 3 or 4 hours data wont fix..
How long were the individual subs? Theres plenty more nebulosity floating around that area, Though, whether this requires longer subs or more subs to reveal, you are more qualified to answer than I.
Definitely going in the right direction! Stay on course!

Hey it's nothing overly special yet, but thanks to one and all for the positive feedback.

I prefer to go 20 minutes in narrow band, but had to settle for 10 minute subs due to the remote captureand internet/network dropouts.
Interestingly there were quite a few satellite trails (thankfully not as nasty as this link) despite the very late hour of the imaging session.

Ah! You have a keen eye Rob!
It's a feature easily lost by smoothing the data with noise reduction software and agressive processing. I am hoping some seriously deep data will tease these tendrils out and keep the noise at bay.

I had thought something in the realms of 10mins... Well... hopefully you'll get a chance to get some 20 min subs to add to it when you've got a more stable connection!
Love that 'Arrgh!" shot.. talk about unlucky! (the glob still looks nice.. )

Noise or not - that is one revealing image! Looks like the horse is in a rolling meadow! Think its the Mono that brings that out so well!

Great picture. I'm amazed how good it came out considering the heat wave we've been having.

Bloody hell Peter, I have trouble doing that at home, let alone being that far away from my rig, splendid capture.
