Wow - at our place south of Sydney a few minutes ago!!!

Scary watching it swirl....

EDIT: Added a single shot that I sent into Ch9, Ch10 and News Ltd. We'll see if it gets published.

Pretty amazing cloud formations there Chris,
Time to worry is if you see an airborne cow coming your way, thats what happened in "Twister".

Keep your head down.

Well captured, Chris.

They aren't as rare as the media would have you believe.

We're a long way from Kansas Toto

Hi Chris,

Great shots!

Looked like it was almost time to put on the ruby red shoes and start chanting
"There's no place like home"!

Best regards

Gary

LOL! Thanks everyone

Well, after circling around like a cornered animal, this storm delivered all of 17 drops (I counted them) of very cold rain and then went POOF!

I always thought that they were rare in this part of the world, but you are right, and we have had quite a number over the years.

Australia is the second most common place for tornados next to USA. Because Australia is such a large country with a small population we just don't see them as much.
